Bio
Cathy Coburn has always had a flair for scare, with a great sense of adventure. From jumping out of planes, scuba diving the depths of the oceans, to zip-lining thousands of feet over rain forests. There has never been any stopping her… Much to her mother's dismay at times.
Her need for adventure, or insanity (as some call it), seeps into all her books, both in what she reads and in her writing. Her biggest thrill is when someone says one of her books gave them nightmares. That’s when she knows she has done her job well, as that is always her intention.

I think that is the best writing you have done. Seriously. Your other books were good, but I honestly think your writing is above any of your other books. Not talking about the story line (although very good creepy girl) but actual story telling. I TRULY ENJOYED THE BOOK ... except the ending 😂😂…

I am so incredibly impressed with Cathy Coburn’s work and this is definitely my favorite book of hers and am looking forward to seeing what she’s got in store for us next!!!! "

This book kept me spellbound and I read the book in its entirety in one sitting. I could not wait to see what would happen next. The story was captivating from beginning to end. The ending could lead into a follow-on book. ‬
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mystery thrillers. This book is appropriate for teen readers to adults. The language is not inappropriate and there are no sexual scenes. There are brief descriptive murder scenes which some readers may find inappropriate, but they provided some necessary detail to the story. The author definitely got my attention, and I would like to read more books from her.

When the Dam Breaks is a chilling, heartfelt, suspenseful story that will have you hanging on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Cathy Coburn manages to shock me to no end! The storyline is only told from Kelly's point of view. I felt like I was there seeing Kelly's experiences first-hand and screaming my head off wishing for her to break away from the evil clutches of her husband Bob, knowing fully well that she is a victim of the battered wife syndrome. From the start, Ms. Coburn sucks me into the plot and holds my attention until the very terrifying conclusion. Just when I think I have the plot figured out, Ms. Coburn utterly throws me for a loop. My mouth was hanging open in absolute disbelief! I definitely did not see that ending coming. Wow! This is one spine-tingling tale not to be missed. I promise you that you will not be disappointed one bit.

After the Mist is one of those "stay up to finish" books that grabs your imagination and doesn't let go. The authors create strong identities for their characters from the start: none are perfect, and none are stereotypes. Suspense and mystery builds throughout the story; don't start reading this in bed because you'll want to keep going through to the end. I especially liked the repartee between the hero, Mike, the over-enthusiastic Zack, and the intrepid Maggie. Reminded me of the best interactions in movies such as "Independence Day" and "The Avengers." Highly recommended for those who like thrilling action with a hint of Twilight Zone
